BTAA – WIT Mentorship Program 2025-2026 – Looking for Mentors

This year will mark the 3rd year of the WIT+ Mentorship program! Do you want to influence the next generation of leaders, expand your professional network, and gain fresh perspectives on your own career? Serving as a mentor in the BTAA Women+ in Technology 2026 Mentorship Program gives you the opportunity to do just that.

As a mentor, you will:

  • Make a meaningful impact on an aspiring professional’s career journey
  • Strengthen your coaching and leadership skills
  • Build connections across the Big Ten community
  • What to expect:

Mentor/mentee pairing to begin in December 2025

  • Kickoff event will be held in January 2026 to connect mentors and mentees
  • Flexible 1-hour mentoring sessions each month with your mentee
  • Optional monthly drop-in sessions with the larger group for shared learning and support
  • *New* Microsoft Teams group for networking and building relationships with others in the program
  • Total time commitment: 1-2 hours per month for 6 months
  • Program concludes with a closing session in July 2026

As a mentor, you won’t be on your own—we’ll provide guidance, resources, and a support structure to help you succeed.

The program runs from January to July 2026 and is open to all staff and faculty with a Big Ten email address, regardless of gender identity. No prior mentorship experience is required, just the willingness to share your knowledge and guidance.

We will be accepting applications for mentors through October 31st, 2025. Mentee applications will be opening in early October, so stay tuned.
