DESCRIPTION:Michigan State University Information Technology is excited to announce the Empower IT 2019 conference to be held May 8. The Conference will empower and inspire the diverse population of professionals working in the IT field. The 2019 Conference will provide attendees with mentorship opportunities\, professional networking\, and skill development\, ultimately leading to increased morale\, job performance and employee retention. All are welcome to attend. \nThe Empower 2019 conference is put on with the collaboration of the Empower IT group from MSU. The Empower IT mission is to create a positive community of women\, minorities\, and allies in IT and adjacent professionals who engage in mentorship\, fellowship\, continued education\, community outreach\, and confidence-building initiatives. \nWHAT: Empower IT 2019\nWHERE: MSU Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center\nWHEN: May 8\, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.\nCOST: $200 (includes attendance\, light breakfast\, refreshment breaks\, lunch and small gift). MSU employees are encouraged to use the Educational Assistance Program that assists with professional development opportunities.
